Bath have released Samoan international back-row forward Alafoti Faosiliva after he pleaded guilty to assault.

Faosiliva was given a suspended prison sentence last week for knocking out a 21-year-old university student in a serious unprovoked attack in Bath city centre on February 6.

The 30-year-old was sentenced on May 6 for knocking Nissi Kyeremeh unconscious with a single punch.
