Eddie Jones faces a growing list of injury concerns as he plots his squad for the Six Nations opener against France early next month.

Jones is scheduled to name his squad on January 20 for the competition opener against France two weeks later but he faces going into that match with a much less experienced pack than he would have hoped for, with three more players joining the list of injury concerns over the last set of Aviva Premiership games.

And confirmation arrived on Monday that flanker Chris Robshaw will miss the entire tournament after being told he needs surgery on his shoulder injury.

Back-rower James Haskell lasted less than a minute of his Wasps comeback against Leicester on Sunday before being taken off with a head injury - he had been absent for seven months after toe surgery.

Haskell is reported to be "okay" by director of rugby Dai Young, but the quick exit limits his chances of getting much match practice before the date with France at Twickenham.

Young was similarly upbeat on Wasps utility back Elliot Daly, who also came off against the Tigers for a head injury assessment.

Selection issues are similar in the front row, with Joe Marler forced to pull out of Harlequins' clash against Sale on Saturday.

Marler has been struggling with a calf injury for the last two weeks and aggravated the issue when he played against Worcester on New Year's Day.

Coach John Kingston confirmed Marler would be having a further scan but went on to say: "I don't see a problem with him being available for the Six Nations at this stage."

Saracens prop Mako Vunipola could also miss at least the early rounds with a knee injury he suffered just before Christmas.

Harlequins back-row Robshaw aggravated a shoulder injury on New Year's Day at Worcester and scans revealed he would need surgery, ruling him out for three months.

Jones will also have to rely on the match fitness of hooker and captain Dylan Hartley, who is currently serving a six-week ban and will not be back in action until January 23.

There are also question marks over lock George Kruis, who is recovering from a broken cheekbone, but Joe Launchbury appears likely to be fit after his calf injury proved to be less serious than first expected.
