Bath have rejected talk of an impending takeover of the club and hope to announce their new coaching structure soon.

The Aviva Premiership club wrote a letter to supporters, published on their website on Saturday, in response to rumours about the future of owner Bruce Craig.

Bath are yet to replace Mike Ford, who stepped down as coach at the end of the 2016 season, with local press linking Jon Callard with a return to the club.

Their letter read: "We would like to take this opportunity to address recent rumours in the media, and confirm that Bath Rugby is not being sold and will remain under the sole ownership of Bruce Craig.

"The club, the team, and the stadium development all remain a long-term commitment and passion for Bruce.
