England may have won their first two Autumn internationals against Australia and Argentina, but it is Saturday's result that will dictate how far they have progressed.

Jonny be good: Wilkinson scores 21 points to give England a 31-28 win, November 9 2002, Twickenham Watch highlights of this match, 6pm, Wed, Sky Sports 3 HD England launched their 2002 Autumn series in style as they held on to record only their fifth win over New Zealand. Jonny Wilkinson commanded his forwards and backs in fine style and was deadly with the boot knocking over 16 points - but he also scored an audacious try when he chipped over the All Blacks heads and gathered to score under the posts. Flanker Lewis Moody had scored England's first try to give them a 17-14 lead at the break before Wilkinson's magic and Ben Cohen's superb effort put them 31-14 ahead. The All Blacks responded as only they can through two Jonah Lomu tries while Doug Howlett and replacement scrum-half Danny Lee also went over to make it 31-18. With the clock running down, New Zealand launched one final attack from deep inside their half through Howlett that almost won the game for them - however Cohen's try-saving tackle on Ben Blair in the corner saved the day for England!

England hold the line: New Zealand 13 - 15 England, June 13 2003, Wellington

It certainly was not pretty but this is the game where England showed the southern hemisphere giants just what to expect come the World Cup four months later. It was their first win on New Zealand soil in 30 years as England flexed their collective muscle and produced one of their finest defensive displays ever. Johnny Wilkinson scored all England's points but it was the pack who dominated and set the tone in defence. Even when they were down to six in the scrum after Lawrence Dallaglio and Neil Back had been sin binned - England battled and scrapped to keep New Zealand out.

Dan the man: England 20 - 41 New Zealand, November 5 2006, Twickenham

A faultless display from Dan Carter saw the All Blacks record a record home defeat over England. Carter contributed 26 points in their 41-20 win including a superb try that had England's defence floundering. Aaron Mauger, Joe Rokocoko and Carl Hayman also went over the whitewash and while England did their best to take it to the All Blacks and scored through Jamie Noon, Ben Cohen and Shaun Perry, New Zealand were just too classy in all departments.
