Welsh winger Shane Williams was delighted after putting in a man-of-the-match display in the British and Irish Lions' 28-9 third Test victory over South Africa.
The 2008 world player of the year equalled the Lions' record held by JJ Williams and Tom Croft by scoring two tries in a Test to cap an all-action peformance.
It represented a welcome return to form for Williams who had struggled to reproduce his electric best on tour and had not crossed the tryline before Saturday.
He said: "It was a massive game for me. I know eyes were on me because there were a lot of doubters out there and I knew it was my last Lions game so I would have to perform.
"I wasn't going out there to dazzle but to work in players outside me and I played particularly well. It was one of my best performances.
"I got involved as much as I could, played first receiver, second receiver, nine when I had to.
"I could see when I got my hands on the ball the Springboks were looking for me to do something and when I was off-loading to other players that gave me as much satisfaction."
Meanwhile, Irish centre Tommy Bowe was also delighted to finish the tour with a win.
"We can go back with our heads high. It was a great performance today and one we definitely enjoyed. It will be a very memorable tour for me and all the boys," he said.
"The craic off the pitch has been something else. On the pitch it has been great apart from the two Tests.
"We came so close. Going into this week we could have been 2-0 up or drawing 1-1. That is the way it goes.
"There is all-round disappointment on the result of the series but South Africa are a top class side."
