They could be joined in winning their first caps by the Crusaders' Melbourne-born flanker Pete Samu, who has been named on the bench after New Zealand Rugby agreed to his release.

David Pocock returns for his first Test match since the end of 2016 after taking a year's sabbatical, rejoining captain Michael Hooper in the twin-openside back row formation with Timu adding some heft at No 8.

Izack Rodda replaces the suspended Rory Arnold in the second row while Will Genia starts at scrum-half despite not having played for a month due to injury.

Samu Kerevi replaces childhood friend Tevita Kuridrani at outside centre, with Israel Folau at full-back alongside Rebels wings Marika Koroibete and Dane Haylett-Petty.

Hard-running prop Taniela Tupou, nicknamed 'Tongan Thor', should also get a chance to make an impact off the bench after making his debut against Scotland last November.
