Props Allan Dell and Simon Berghan have signed new contracts with Edinburgh Rugby.

Loosehead Dell, 23, who has made 18 appearances and recently scored his first try for the club against Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium, has signed a two-year contract.

Dell, who qualifies to play for the Scotland through his grandmother, said: "From the outset, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to stay at Edinburgh Rugby, as the club has done so much for me since I started here two years ago.

"I'm getting good game time under my belt just now and I want to keep giving everything for the team when I get the shot and play to the best of my ability.

"It's an exciting time to be at Edinburgh, as I feel we're definitely a club on the up, and I'm delighted to have signed a deal to play with the team for another two years."

Berghan, 25, who signed for Edinburgh Rugby in 2014 and made his debut against Cardiff Blues the same year, has signed for a further year.

He said: "I'm looking forward to another season at the club and building on what the team achieved this year, and I'm also looking to build on what I've achieved personally.

"I've been working hard, especially on my set-piece as it's a huge area of the game, and hope that by continuing to develop in this area I can keep pushing to become a regular in the 23-man matchday squad."
