Lions pay a heavy price for three Stafford interceptions

Aaron Rodgers threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns as Green Bay Packers beat Detroit Lions 27-15 to remain the only unbeaten team in the NFL. The defending Super Bowl champions are now 11-0 and need just five more wins to become just the third team in NFL history to record a perfect regular season. The Packers have won 17 straight games, including in last season's play-offs, but the Lions proved tougher opposition than the scoreline suggests. The hosts actually had the ball for longer and collected more total yards than the Packers, but were undone by three Matthew Stafford interceptions, two of which were turned into touchdowns and the third set up a field goal. The Lions also paid a heavy price for defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh's ejection for stamping on Evan Dietrich-Smith. Greg Jennings caught a three-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers, while James Jones scored on a 65-yard catch and run. John Kuhn also rumbled in for a one-yard touchdown. Detroit got back to within two scores in the fourth quarter after Keiland Williams' 16-yard touchdown run was followed by a two-point conversion, but Calvin Johnson's three-yard touchdown was merely a consolation, arriving with just 11 seconds left on the clock. Defeat means the Lions slip to third in the NFC North behind Green Bay and Chicago at 7-4, after losing a franchise-record eight straight on Thanksgiving.
