Arun Harinath extends Surrey stay until 2017

Arun Harinath has signed a new deal at Surrey which will keep him at the club until 2017.

The 28-year-old has been a Surrey player since he was eight years old and has played 48 first-class games for the county.

Harinath scored back-to-back centuries at Guildford against Glamorgan and recently anchored Surrey's final-day chase against Essex at Colchester with 87.

Surrey director of cricket Alec Stewart said: "I'm very pleased that we have secured Arun for two more years after some impressive performances in the LV= Championship this season."
