Royal Ascot hero Sound And Silence supplemented his two Listed wins with success at Group Three level in the Prix Eclipse at Maisons-Laffitte.

The Windsor Castle and Roses Stakes scorer over the minimum trip was a cut above his four rivals as he made virtually all the running in this six-furlong contest.

James Doyle was soon able to dictate affairs from the front and the Charlie Appleby-trained colt was not seriously troubled to win by three lengths from Coeur de Beaute,

There was no luck for Roger Varian's Dawn Of Hope in the other Group Three race on the card, the Prix Bertrand de Tarragon.
