Promoter Eddie Hearn insists the long-awaited world title clash between Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton has not yet been finalised.
Reports suggested the two unbeaten super-bantamweights have finally agreed all the terms and Hearn admits he is 'more confident than ever', but is refusing to relax until both fighters have signed the contract.
The unbeaten Quigg (31-0-2-KO23) is set to put his WBA title on the line, while Frampton (21-0-0-KO14) will defend his IBF belt in a bout which will clear up any questions about who is the No 1 domestic fighter in the division.
I've seen plenty of reports saying the deal has been done, but until the ink is dry a huge fight like this is never over the line.
And after months of negotiations both parties are almost ready to make an announcement.
"We've agreed the bulk of the deal," Hearn told Sky Sports.
"We are now just finalising a few minor points, but I am confident the fans will get the news they so desperately want next week.
