George Groves tipped the scales for Saturday's clash with Andrea Di Luisa nearly two pounds inside an agreed 12st 4lbs limit.
'The Saint' (21-3-KO16) weighed in at 12st 2lbs 3oz with the Italian visitor (18-3-KO14) just two ounces lighter as the pair faced off for the final time ahead of the clash at the Copper Box Arena, live on Sky Sports.
There seemed to be no animosity between the pair as they shook hands just before going eyeball-to-eyeball, and Groves told Sky Sports News HQ afterwards: "Usually, there's a bit of stress in the build-up to a weigh-in but it's come along quickly. My team with Shane McGuigan have got it down to a T.
"He looks like a nice friendly chap to be honest. It's nice to have a fight that is going to be a fight but not until we step through the ropes.
"There's no need for it this time round. We're going to conserve some energy now and save it all for tomorrow night.

Earlier, all four of the fighters involved in the two main support bouts weighed successfully.
Tommy Martin was 9st 11lb 5oz ahead of challenging his friend John Wayne Hibbert (9st 12lb 9oz) for the Commonwealth super-lightweight title, and the pair actually embraced at the end of their face-off.
There was less affection between middleweights John Ryder (11st 5lb 1oz) and Sergey Khomitsky (11st 5lb 4oz), who were locked in a steely stare until organisers jogged them out of it.
