Luis Ortiz has named WBC champion Deontay Wilder as his top target if he successfully comes through Saturday's fight with Malik Scott.

The unbeaten Cuban will edge closer to a heavyweight world title shot with victory over Scott in Monte Carlo, live on Sky Sports, and promoter Eddie Hearn has admitted Ortiz could face IBF champion Joshua within the next year.

But Ortiz first wants to settle his feud with Wilder after being angered by the outspoken American and will then attempt to unify the heavyweight belts.

"Over the next 12 months, on my list first would be Deontay Wilder, he's talking s**t," Ortiz told Sky Sports.

"Other than that, the big names - Fury, Joshua, anybody who has a belt."

'King Kong' Ortiz admits he is a man of few words, preferring to stay out of the media spotlight, and is focusing instead on recording his 26th straight victory.

I don't like to talk. On fight night, I just like to come and fight.

"I definitely don't do a lot of talking, it's not what I do," he said. "Sometimes I get a little nervous when people ask questions, because I don't understand.

Malik Scott says Luis Ortiz is the real deal and he will have to be at his best to beat him

Scott is paying little attention to Ortiz's ambitious future plans and believes his stringent preparations will be rewarded with a satisfying victory.

"Luis Ortiz is going come at me, he's not going to allow me to do what I want," said Scott. "That's why I had a very uncomfortable training camp, which is the perfect training camp in my book.

"It's going to be an upset to them, but it's going to be a way of life to me, so I'm looking forward to that."

Watch Luis Ortiz v Malik Scott on the Monte Carlo card, including Martin Murray, Jamie McDonnell and Stephen Smith, from 7pm, Saturday, live on Sky Sports 2.
