Julius Indongo has warned Ricky Burns he cannot expect any help from the home crowd once the bell rings in their super-lightweight unification contest on Saturday.

Burns will be cheered on by his compatriots inside the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, live on Sky Sports, as he looks to retain his WBA title and add Indongo's IBF belt to his collection.

However, his Namibian opponent is not fazed by fighting on the road. The southpaw - nicknamed 'Blue Machine' - became a world champion on Russian soil in December, sensationally knocking out Eduard Troyanovsky inside a minute.

While some may suggest the quick finish in Moscow was no more than a lucky shot in the opening round, Indongo is willing to do whatever it takes to maintain his unblemished professional record and dethrone Burns.

"Fighting away from home has never been a problem," he said.

"The KO will be a bonus but we're training for hard rounds, I am undefeated and have no doubts that I will stay that way."

"I've polished the tools and technique for the fight. He's picked us which is fine with me. It's not easy to fight someone in their backyard, but you need to make sure that you are totally prepared for the task.

"I've heard what they've been saying. They said it was a lucky punch that floored Troyanovsky. It's always easy to talk. Bring Burns in front of me and we will see who is the best."

Burns - Scotland's first three-weight world champion - has lost five times in his career yet never by stoppage. 'The Rickster' even fought on despite a broken jaw during a draw with Raymundo Beltran in 2013.

Indongo hopes to become the first man to knock Burns out, although he is fully prepared to go the distance.

"We are not that well recognised in the world of boxing but I warn you - do not underestimate us, because that's what happened in Moscow."
