Billy Joe Saunders’ opponent David Lemieux had to strip naked and weigh in twice in order to make the 160lb limit for their world title clash in Canada.
Lemieux (38-3-KO33) challenges unbeaten Hatfield fighter Saunders (25-0-KO12) for his WBO middleweight title at Place Bell in Laval on Saturday night.
The bad blood between the pair has been evident in the build-up to the fight, and at Friday's weigh-in, Saunders' trainer demanded Lemieux get on the scales for a second time so that he could see with his own eyes the Canadian was inside the limit.
Lemieux came in at exactly 160lbs with Saunders also weighing in at exactly 160lbs.
On paper, Saunders faces a difficult task against a man who is on a four-fight winning streak since losing to Gennady Golovkin in 2015.
But the Hertfordshire man is in a confident mood and is eager to face either Golovkin or Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez if he can get past Lemieux on Saturday night.
"I haven't been this happy since my amateur days. For the last six or seven months, I've never been happier," Saunders said.
"I'm excited to get into the ring. I'm excited to get into the ring and eager to put on a classic display.
"In my own mind, I know I can deal with (Lemieux), and then with Golovkin or Canelo, we'll see where I really am."
