Whyte vs Parker: Dillian Whyte will pay for 'undue risks', believes Joseph Parker's promoter

during the Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker Press Conference at The Dorchester Hotel on June 7, 2018 in London, England.

Dillian Whyte's temper "isn’t going to help him in the ring", Joseph Parker’s promoter has warned.

Parker's team believe they have identified a weakness in upcoming opponent Whyte's personality before they fight on July 28, live on Sky Sports Box Office, to decide who moves closer to a world title shot.

"Whyte doesn't hold his temper as well as Parker," the New Zealander's promoter David Higgins told Sky Sports.

The beauty of this is that Whyte is a risk taker.

"Whyte is a guy that struggles to control his emotions and could fly into a rage quite easily. That isn't going to help him in the ring, being hot-headed and having a tendency to take undue risks.

"The beauty of this is that Whyte is a risk taker. He will look for the knockout and will take risks to get it, which means there will be openings for Joseph to put him down.

"If they're trading, Joseph has a better chin and faster hands."

Whyte and Parker each have just one defeat on their records - both lost to Anthony Joshua - but the winner of their high-stakes meeting would become well-placed to earn a rematch.

"I just hope that he leaves his running shoes at home on July 28 and comes to fight," Whyte said earlier this month when the fighters came together for their first press conference.

Parker, who conceded his WBO belt to Joshua in March but became the first opponent to go 12 rounds with the unified champion, said about his comeback fight: "A lot of fighters avoid each other, but credit to Dillian and myself for putting our hands up to fight each other.
