Klitschko goes down in eighth says British challenger
Dereck Chisora told German fans he will knock out hot favourite Vitali Klitschko in the eighth round of Saturday's WBC world title clash in Munich.
The British heavyweight goes into the bout at the Olympiahalle a massive underdog after losing two of his last three outings in the ring.
But that did not stop him making his bold prediction at a packed open training session on Thursday, much to the amusement of the watching reigning champion.
"In number eight Klitschko goes down," said the 28-year-old Londoner. "He knows that he's got a young fighter, hungry, looking to take his title, and he's going to have to bring out his best game ever."
No game-plan
Chisora insisted he would not be bringing a gameplan to the fight, preferring instead to rely on sheer enthusiasm to see him to the world title.
"You just have to be excited," he explained. "You don't have to come with a game-plan.
"Enjoy what you're doing in the ring and everything will come into play. If you try and look for anything you find yourself struggling."
Klitschko has never been knocked down in a professional boxing match and has himself claimed 40 of his 43 victories by knockout.
Nevertheless, the Ukranian is not taking Chisora's challenge lightly and said the fight would be an 'interesting' experience.
"He's very strong, very motivated, very aggressive," said Klitschko. "And this fight will be very interesting. Not just for the audience, for me also."
