Wladimir Klitschko’s heavyweight world title defence against Kubrat Pulev has been rescheduled for November 15 in Hamburg.
The Ukrainian was originally due to defend his IBF, WBO and ‘super’ WBA titles on September 6, but was forced to delay the bout due to a bicep injury.
Klitschko has been sparring with Londoner Anthony Joshua in recent weeks, but is expected to miss four weeks of training as part of his recovery.
“I’m glad to announce Nov.15th for the new date of my fight against K.Pulev in Hamburg. Thanks a lot for your support,” he wrote on Twitter.
The unbeaten Pulev secured his spot as mandatory challenger after defeating former Klitschko foe Tony Thompson last August.
He has steadily risen the rankings with a run of 20 wins, including 11 stoppage victories.
