ICC World Twenty20: England batsman Joe Root out of tournament
England batsman Joe Root has been ruled out of the ICC World Twenty20 because of a fractured thumb.

Root broke his thumb batting against West Indies in last week's ODI series victory in Antigua and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed he will not travel with the rest of the squad to Bangladesh.
The decision was made following a consultation with a specialist and the 23-year-old has flown home from England's tour of the Caribbean.
There is no indication yet as to when Root may return to action, with the start of the domestic English season less than a month away.
"Bitterly disappointed I'm unable to make the World Cup!" Root tweeted.
"Want to wish the boys the best of luck and have every confidence in the whole squad."
Experienced international Ian Bell has been called up as a replacement for the tournament, which begins in Bangladesh on 16 March.
The Warwickshire batsman will take Root's place in the 15-man squad for the Asia tournament after the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted their approval.
England skipper Stuart Broad has already been ruled out of the remainder of England's Twenty20 international series with West Indies due to ongoing knee troubles, although he is hoping to be fit for the World Twenty20.
Yorkshire player Root has established himself in the England team for all formats of the game and averages over 50 in T20 internationals.
England face West Indies in their second T20 match on Tuesday evening. Coverage begins on Sky Sports 2 HD at 5:30pm.
