Colin Ingram’s spectacular 95 helped Glamorgan chase down a 291-run winning target in their Royal London One Day Cup match against Kent at Chelmsford.

The South African smashed half a dozen sixes and four boundaries in his 53-ball knock after unbeaten centuries from Sam Billings (106 not out) and Joe Denly (104 not out) had put the hosts in a commanding position.

Playing a 42-over contest because of rain earlier in the day, Glamorgan got over the line with seven balls to spare, with top order batsmen David Lloyd (65) and William Bragg (52) both scoring half centuries.

James Foster cracked 75 from 50 balls as Essex scrambled to a tie via the Duckworth-Lewis method against Somerset at Chelmsford.

The visitors posted 179 from 29 overs in a rain-reduced contest with Adam Hose (77) and Jim Allenby (68) impressing. Home skipper Ravi Bopara was the pick of Essex's bowlers, finishing with 3-49.

Foster came in with the home side struggling at 74-6, hitting eight fours and three sixes - including a six from the penultimate ball - to help Essex to 176/9, one shy of the rain-adjusted 177 target for victory.

Teenager Philip Salt hit 81 from 76 balls including 10 boundaries in Sussex's 31-run victory over Middlesex at Hove. Early rain had reduced the contest to 32 overs for each side with Sussex posting a score of 222, thanks largely to 19-year-old Salt's blistering innings and Ross Taylor's 54.
