England's James Anderson draws Nasser Hussain as Mr Burns for Cricket United

'Excellent!'

That's the verdict on James Anderson's depiction of Sky Sports commentator Nasser Hussain as Mr Burns from the Simpsons, after England players present and past once again got doodling for Cricket United.

Anderson chose to poke fun at Hussain's decision to send Australia in to bat first at the Gabba in 2002, while Ben Stokes mocked England head coach Trevor Bayliss for never having coached his national side.

The duo are among the players who have turned to art to help raise money for the Cricket United charity appeal - a joint fundraising venture by the UK's three leading cricketing charities, the Lord's Taverners, Chance to Shine, and the PCA Benevolent Fund.

There is also a Pakistan theme with former Pakistani players Yasir Hameed, Imran Farhat and Yasir Arafat drawing their favourite players; while Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan has penned a picture of former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq.

The drawings are being auctioned off on eBay to raise funds for Cricket United. Supporters can bid for them by visiting bit.ly/CUdrawings. The auction will end on Sunday.

Before then, day three of the fourth Test between England and Pakistan on Saturday at the Oval is Cricket United Day, when fans, pundits and sponsors alike will be asked to wear or promote the colour blue.
