India v England: Sir Ian Botham, Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussian review the second Test
Monday 21 November 2016 17:50, UK
Watch as Ian Ward, Nasser Hussain, Michael Atherton and Sir Ian Botham dissect England's 246-run second Test loss to India.
Alastair Cook's side slumped to 158 all out on day five to hand India victory in the match and a 1-0 lead in the series.
However, despite what, on the face of it, was a crushing defeat in Visakhapatnam, the Sky Sports pundits saw plenty of reasons for optimism in England's performance.
"Adil Rashid emerging as England's No 1 spinner, getting the ball thrown to him as first choice after the seamers in the second innings. He's bowled well," said Botham, when asked about England's showing. "I think there are a lot of things England can take form this game."
However, after a defeat by such a large margin, there are clearly some areas that England must improve on and Nasser Hussain argues that while people will look at the collapse on the final day, it was the first innings that really cost the tourists.
"This game was not lost in the second innings," he added. "It was lost in the first innings, you can't play catch up cricket in India."
