England international Chris Jordan has signed a one-year extension to his contract at Sussex which keeps him at Hove until the end of the 2018 season.
The fast bowling all-rounder had his best season to date in 2016, becoming an England regular in white-ball cricket.
He joined Sussex four years ago from Surrey where regular injuries prevented him from having a long spell in the first team.
In T20 cricket this year he returned career-best figures at both international (4-28) level and domestically (4-11).
Last summer he also scored his maiden first-class century against Essex and posted career-best scores in the NatWest T20 Blast (45no) and Royal London One-Day Cup (55).
Jordan said: "I always like to take the positives but by my own standards I would have liked to be slightly better at different times throughout last summer.
"Hopefully I can build on what I achieved last season and better it next season.
"I can't get ahead of myself. There are still have plenty of areas in my game I want to improve so the aim in the coming months is to do that and make another jump in terms of my performances."
