Manish Pandey got lucky during the second T20I against England after a Ben Stokes ball clipped the stumps but didn't dislodge the bails

Manish Pandey benefited from a huge slice of luck when bowled by Ben Stokes during the second T20I, with the bails failing to fall.

Click on the video above to watch as a dumbfounded Stokes thinks he's got rid of Pandey - on 10 at the time - with the ball heavily clipping the off stump.

Though the bails lit up, signalling the contact, they failed to fall, and so Pandey was able to continue his innings and the Indian batsman went on to score 30 off 26 balls, as India tallied 144-8 from their 20 overs.

Stokes then benefited from some good fortune himself in England's reply as he was bowled for a second-ball duck, but was called back after replays shown Amit Mishra had bowled a no-ball.

Stokes went on to smash two fours and two sixes in a 27-ball 38, but it wasn't enough to see England to a series-clinching win, as they ultimately fell five runs short on 139-6.
