Stuart Broad scores flying volley during England training

England bowler Stuart Broad channelled his inner Peter Crouch as he scored a flying volley during training ahead of the final Test against India.

The 32-year-old was taking part in the customary football match with his England team-mates as part of their preparations for the Oval clash, which is live on Sky Sports from Friday.

Broad's effort prompted a round of applause from onlookers - something he will be hoping to repeat when he takes on Virat Kohli's side.

The Nottinghamshire man shared the clip on his Instagram page, and joked he had been playing the Peter Crouch role - a reference to the Stoke striker who has scored a number of spectacular volleys during his career.

Broad also joked he was available on loan from the England cricket team if any football club wanted to sign him on loan, with his preference being his boyhood club Nottingham Forest.
