Rory Burns and Joe Denly have been nominated for the NatWest PCA Players' Player of the Year award alongside Rikki Clarke and Matt Henry.
Burns and Denly were both called into the England Test squad for the first time last week and their fine county form has now earned them each a place on the shortlist for arguably the highest individual accolade in English cricket.
Burns' Surrey team-mate Clarke and Henry, who has played alongside Denly at Kent, complete the four-man shortlist.
Denly has starred in all forms of the game this summer; he was Kent leading run-scorer in the Vitality Blast, averaged 70 in the Royal London One-Day Cup as they reached the final and scored over 800 runs as the Canterbury side were promoted to the County Championship's top flight.
In addition, Denly has taken in excess of 50 wickets in all competitions with his leg-spin.
Meanwhile, New Zealand fast bowler Henry has taken 75 first-class wickets, more than anyone else in the country, at under 15 across two spells with Kent this season.
A career-best 7-45 was one of five five-wicket hauls for the Kiwi while he added another 16 wickets in the One-Day Cup.
Burns' nomination comes after he led the way in terms of run-scoring in the County Championship, scoring more than 1,300 at the top of the order to lead Surrey to their first Championship title since 2002.
Finally, Clarke has been a consistently fine performer for Surrey, averaging more than 30 with the bat and just 22 with the ball in the County Championship.
In white-ball cricket he was just as influential, taking 16 wickets and averaging 47 with the bat.
