England will play South Africa at the WACA in their opening game of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia next year.

Having lost to Australia in the final of the 2018 tournament, England will be aiming to go one better and match their 2009 triumph.

Heather Knight's side have been drawn in Group B while hosts Australia, bidding to win the competition for a fifth time, are in Group A and start the defence of their crown in the opening match against India in Sydney.

After facing South Africa on February 23, England travel to Canberra where they will face a qualifying side on February 26 before taking on Pakistan two days later at the same venue.

England's final group game is against 2016 winners Windies in Sydney on March 1.

The top two sides from each group will progress to the semi-finals, both of which will take place in a double-header at Sydney Cricket Ground on March 5.
