Sussex stalwart says discussions have begun with club

Former England wicketkeeper Matt Prior has told Sky Sports that he wants to join the Sussex staff following the side's relegation to County Championship Division Two.
Sussex's five-year stay in the top flight ended on the final day of the 2015 campaign with their loss to Yorkshire, coupled with Hampshire's win at Nottinghamshire, sending the three-time champions down.
Prior revealed he has held discussions with the club's coach, Mark Robinson, and is hopeful a deal can be agreed for him to return the county he played for from 2001 until his retirement earlier this year.
"I have been talking to both Mark and Zac Toumazi, the CEO, for the last couple of months about having a role at Sussex," said Prior. "I want to have a role there, I feel I could help.
"Those conversations are being had, and as I say, I'm hopeful that I will be called upon to help, because I'd love to be involved.
"I've made that very clear to Mark and Zac but ultimately it's up to them if they want to use me and get me involved."
Prior added: "I feel the club needs a good looking at from top to bottom, to be honest. [Relegation] hasn't just happened overnight, it has been building up over the last two or three years."
Sussex's slip into Division Two came at the end of a campaign in which they were dumped out in the T20 Blast at the quarter-final stage by Northamptonshire and finished bottom of Group B in the Royal London One-Day Cup having failed to win any of their eight matches.
