Lancashire have re-signed Australia all-rounder James Faulkner for the 2017 NatWest T20 Blast.
Faulkner played a pivotal role in the county's triumphant 2015 campaign, in which the Lightning won the Twenty20 competition for the first time in their history.
The 26-year-old was the joint-leading wicket-taker that year with 25 in 13 matches, while also scoring 302 runs and will link up with Ashley Giles' squad next July.
Lancashire cricket director Giles said: "We're thrilled to have James joining us again next summer. He's a world-class cricketer - a true competitor - and it'll be great to have him back.
"He is a great guy to have in the dressing room and his experiences at international level will really benefit the squad. He played an important role in our success throughout the competition last year."
In August, Faulkner became only the sixth Australian to take a hat-trick in a one-day international when he achieved the feat against Sri Lanka.
Faulkner said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be returning. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Ashley Giles, the coaches and the rest of the squad in 2015.
"Finals Day at Edgbaston was one of the best days of my career, so hopefully we can replicate that success. I was blown away by the support I received from the Lancashire fans and I'm really excited to be playing my cricket at Old Trafford again."
