County Championship: Surrey renew seven player contracts including Gareth Batty and Stuart Meaker

Surrey have secured the services of seven players on long-term contracts including skipper Gary Wilson, fast bowler Stuart Meaker and veteran off-spinner Gareth Batty.
The trio have all signed two-year extensions to their current deals, keeping them at The Kia Oval until 2016.
Zafar Ansari, Rory Burns, Tom Curran and Dominic Sibley will remain with Surrey until 2017 after penning three-year deals with LV= County Championship Division Two side.
Surrey director of cricket Alec Stewart told the county’s official website: "We are delighted that these contracts have been finalised and that each player has committed their future to Surrey CCC.
"Ansari, Burns, Curran, Sibley and Meaker have all come through our Academy system - and we now have an exciting blend of home-grown talent and experience in our squad heading into the 2015 season.”
Vikram Solanki, Arun Harinath, Tim Linley and Steven Davies are already under contract with Surrey until the end of the 2015 season.
