Former West Indies batsman Brendan Nash has agreed to end his spell at Kent by mutual consent.

The 37-year-old joined the club in 2012 but has only featured in four first-class matches this summer.

Nash's best season came in 2013 when he scored five centuries, including 199 not out against Gloucestershire.

"I would like to thank Kent County Cricket Club for giving me my first opportunity to play county cricket," he told the club's official website.

"It's been a great three-and-a-bit seasons for me personally.

"I would like to thank the cricket club members, supporters and staff for being so welcoming to me and my family and I hope I have been able to give something back, not just on the cricketing field.
