Former England man available for Hampshire at T20 Finals Day

Hampshire batsman Michael Carberry has joined Leicestershire on loan for the final four Specsavers County Championship matches of the season.

The former England opener, who has scored 13,616 first-class runs and 35 hundreds, will be available for the Foxes' games against Kent, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Northamptonshire.

"It's great to have Michael on board with us ahead of the Kent game," said Leicestershire head coach Pierre De Bruyn.

"Michael has an impressive career record in county cricket and offers lots of experience having also represented England."

Carberry will, however, be free to play for Hampshire at NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston on Saturday, September 2, live on Sky Sports Cricket.
