All-rounder Wayne White is returning to Leicestershire after his decision to leave native county Derbyshire last week.

The 29-year-old all-rounder began his career with Derbyshire before a successful spell at Grace Road between 2009 and 2012 – he helped the Foxes win the Twenty20 Cup in 2011.

White left Leicestershire to join Lancashire in 2013 and then returned to Derbyshire at the start of this season, but he was allowed to leave by mutual consent to find a new county.

He has now signed a three-year deal, and Leicestershire head coach Andrew MacDonald is pleased to have him back – MacDonald was a Foxes player during White's last stint at Grace Road.

"Wayne is a player I know very well after playing alongside him for two years at Leicestershire. He will be an asset for us both with bat and ball, and in the field," McDonald said.
