Glamorgan all-rounder David Lloyd has signed a two-year contract extension to stay at the club until the end of the 2019 season.

St Asaph-born Lloyd scored his maiden County Championship hundred against Kent at Canterbury last summer, becoming the third north Walian to do so for the county after Wilf Wooller and Geoff Ellis.

The 24-year-old, who is also a medium-pace bowler, scored a second hundred against Sussex at Hove and finished the season with more than 700 championship runs.

"I'm delighted to extend my contract," Lloyd said.

"Having come through the development system and making my debut over four years ago, it has been a great journey so far.
