Pace bowler Ben Sanderson has signed a new three-year deal with Northamptonshire.
The right-arm seamer moved to Wantage Road full time in February and has been rewarded with a new contract with the club.
Sanderson, 27, has been in good form in the County Championship, taking an impressive 44 wickets this season at an average of 21.77, including a career best of 7-22 against Glamorgan in August.
He has also been a solid support to the squad in the T20 competition, most notably taking a formidable 3-31 in a thumping win over the Durham Jets in the NatWest T20 Blast final.
Northants head coach David Ripley said: "Sando is a great story, getting a second chance from Minor Counties cricket and turning that into a three-year deal. He is a very skillful bowler and very popular member of the squad."
Commenting on his new contract, Sanderson said: "I'm delighted to have signed a new three-year deal with the club.
"I'm very much looking forward to playing with these boys for more years to come. The club has huge ambitions to improve in the county championship and that's something I can't wait to be a part of."
