England seamers James Anderson and Stuart Broad will not play for their respective counties for the remainder of the domestic season.

Lancashire bowler Anderson requires ongoing rehabilitation on his right shoulder while Broad, who last played in the NatWest Blast T20 Finals Day for Nottinghamshire, is recovering from an ankle problem.

The duo have managed their injuries through the summer and ECB officials have decided a break from cricket is needed to prepare the Test bowling pair for England's winter campaign in Bangladesh, beginning in October, live on Sky Sports.

Notts and Lancashire are battling to avoid relegation from Division One of the Specsavers County Championship and their non-availability will be a blow to the counties' survival hopes.

England will kick off their tour of Bangladesh with three one-day internationals and Anderson and Broad are likely to join up with the Test squad ahead of the first of two Test matches which starts in Chittagong, on October 20.

The tour was only given the go ahead this week following a fact-finding visit by ECB security expert Reg Dickason, director of cricket operations John Carr and David Leatherdale, representing the Professional Cricketers' Association, after the recent terror attacks in Bangladesh.

England director of cricket Andrew Strauss has, however, insisted no player will be pressurised into going on the tour and the decision will be left in their own hands.

Broad, 30, is set for a busy winter as he has also signed to play T20 cricket for the Hobart Hurricanes in Australia's Big Bash League.

Meanwhile, Yorkshire's Jonny Bairstow has been released from the England squad to play in the Tykes' Royal London One-Day Cup semi-final against Surrey on Sunday, but David Willey is not fit after injuring his hand.
