Andrew Flintoff believes Jofra Archer could be a real talent and find for England ahead of this summer’s World Cup.

Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff believes Jofra Archer could force his way into England's World Cup squad.

Archer was not included in England's 15-man provisional squad for the ICC World Cup, but still has the chance to impress in the warm-up ODIs before the before the squad is finalised on May 23.

Barbados-born Archer, who received his maiden call-up last month after qualifying for world No 1 team England in March, took three wickets in his first two ODI appearances against Ireland and Pakistan.

Flintoff has been impressed by the Sussex seamer and feels Archer is a real find for England ahead of the upcoming World Cup.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, the former England all-rounder said: "I think it is clever - they have not named him in the World Cup squad but they have put him in the ODIs.

"It is almost 'let's have a look at him, let's see how we go, but we want him'. I would have him tomorrow.

"If you can find a bowler who can bowl over 90 miles an hour consistently, know exactly where it is going, he's got slower balls, he can field, he can bat - why wouldn't you?

"I was watching him on Sky the other day against Pakistan - and I found it so frustrating, he can bowl fast so easily, he is a real talent, a real find.

The pick of the action from Cardiff as England beat Pakistan by seven wickets in the one-off Twenty20 international.

"The best teams do have competition for places - it is not always a case of someone being left out because they have done something wrong.

"Sometimes you find better players and that's how sides evolve and get better and better."
