England bowlers Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue have been rested for England's T20 international against India in Durham, with Luke Wood and Saqib Mahmood drafted in for the series-opener.
Fast bowlers Archer and Tongue will sit out Wednesday's match at Chester-le-Street following their participation in the New Zealand Test series but will re-join the squad for Saturday's match at Old Trafford.
Lancashire quicks Wood and Mahmood are the only players in the team who did not start England's last game, a seven-run defeat to India in the semi-finals of the 2026 T20 World Cup on March 5.

Just a day on from Ben Stokes' farewell to international cricket, England hot-foot it from Trent Bridge to Durham for the first of eight white-ball matches in 19 days against India.
