England’s Emilio Gay is expected to be fit for the three-Test series against Pakistan, Sky Sports News understands.
Gay suffered a shoulder injury while batting for Durham in their One Day Cup match against Middlesex on Friday, before going for a scan on Saturday.
The left-hander appeared to be feeling some discomfort in his right shoulder and the issue came to a head when he stroked Toby Roland-Jones for four past mid-on, immediately clutching the joint before signalling for the physio.

Now, though, it is understood the 26-year-old is due to play in the Professional County Club Select XI game against Pakistan at Beckenham on Wednesday.
England's series versus Pakistan begins the week after on Wednesday August 19.
Gay, who made his Test debut earlier this summer, has been picked in a 16-man squad to face Pakistan later this month, which included no specialist opening cover.
The returning Ollie Pope is the spare batter, although he spent the majority of the last four years at No 3 before being dropped after the winter's Ashes.
Jordan Cox is set to bat in that position in place of the injured Jacob Bethell, while Dan Lawrence has been recalled at No 6.
Lawrence has previously batted for England in an unfamiliar role at the top of the order but is unlikely to do so again.
