Bangladesh v England: Watch the two-match Test series on Sky Sports
Tuesday 18 October 2016 14:38, UK
After a summer in which they outclassed Sri Lanka and battled to a draw in the series with Pakistan, England head to Bangladesh keen to continue their fine recent form.
With Alex Hales having opted not to tour, England are again searching for a new opening partner for Alastair Cook - who will become England's most capped Test player assuming he plays in the first Test - with Haseeb Hameed and Ben Duckett competing for the role.
England are also without James Anderson and Mark Wood. The Lancashire seamer is out with a shoulder injury while Durham fast bowler Wood has been ruled out due to a recurrence of the ankle problem which saw him miss a large chunk of the English summer. As a result, Jake Ball has been added for the squads for the Tests and will hope to take his form from the ODIs into the longer-format, if selected.
After taking the one-day series 2-1, England will now be hoping to back that up with a third straight Test series success in Bangladesh after a 2-0 wins in 2003 and 2010.
