West Indies to visit Ireland for ODI as Phil Simmons returns

Ireland will host West Indies in a one-off one-day international in September 2017.

The match is scheduled for September 13 ahead of West Indies' ODI series in England and will mean a return to Ireland for the tourists' coach Phil Simmons.

Simmons spent eight years coaching the Irish but left to take charge of West Indies after the 2015 World Cup.

"I'm really looking forward to bringing the West Indies team to Ireland," he said. "I had eight great years as Ireland coach and made some lasting friendships as well as winning trophies.
