Former international Gulam Bodi has been revealed as the 'intermediary' charged under Cricket South Africa's anti-corruption code.

According to CSA, Bodi "has been charged with contriving to fix, or otherwise improperly influence aspects of the 2015 RAM SLAM T20 Challenge Series".

CSA chief executive Haroon Lorgat said: "Following our investigations and due process, we have reached a point where we can confirm that Mr Bodi is the intermediary who was charged by CSA in early December 2015 under the CSA Anti-Corruption Code.

"Mr Bodi is presently co-operating with the CSA Anti-Corruption officials. We now await his response to the charges and the matter will take its course in accordance with the process outlined in the Code."

Bodi has been handed a provisional suspension by CSA, preventing him from any involvement in formally organised cricket, at home or abroad.

Bodi, who played two one-day internationals and a Twenty20 for South Africa in 2007, is also remembered for his part in hastening Kevin Pietersen's move to England.

India-born Bodi was selected by Natal at the expense of a young Pietersen in 2000, a decision the former England captain claimed was due to racial selection quotas in his home country and part of the reason he arrived in English county cricket.
