PCB says there is "no question" regarding players involvement in rebel league
The Pakistan Cricket Board has reiterated their stance regarding the unofficial Indian Cricket League, stating that current or former players who are still involved with the board are banned from taking part.
Chairman of the PCB, Nasim Ashraf said: "The ICL is not recognised by the International Cricket Council or its member boards so there is no question of our players going to play there."
There are claims that following the organizers approach to Inzamam-ul-Haq, fellow Pakistan team-mates Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik have also received offers to join the breakaway league.
Permission
However, Ashraf has said that any player who joins the league would not be selected again for the international side.
He said: "We have clauses in our central contracts clearly outlining that the board decides where the players can play.
"Even where former players are concerned if they are not holding any position with the board we can't stop them. But those who are working for us will not be given permission to play in the Indian League."
Endorsement for the league by India's Cricket Board has also been refused.
