ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier trophy final is washed out

Scotland and Holland have shared the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier trophy after the final was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

The third place play-off between Ireland and Hong Kong was meant to precede the final but was completely washed out and persistent rain throughout the day in Dublin ensured the decider could not be played either.

The match had been scheduled to start at 2.15pm but was called off just before 3pm and the trophy will be shared because there is no reserve day in place.

Ireland finish third and Hong Kong fourth after their play-off also failed to beat the elements.
