Discarded England paceman Steve Harmison insisted he could not be in better shape for a recall after grabbing a hat-trick in Durham's seven-wicket win over defending champions Sussex.
Harmison followed his first-innings 3-35 by taking 4-75 to help dismiss Sussex for 212 at Hove.
"If the selectors are looking for pace and power, I'll get a chance, if not I'll continue to play for Durham and I have no problems with that," he said.
"The selectors know what I can do. I love playing for Durham and if I continue to do well for them then I'll be back in the England team."
Harmison has not played for England since the first Test defeat in Hamilton in March and has not featured in the current series against New Zealand.
Since he was dropped, England have won three Tests and drawn one.
Shockwaves
Meanwhile, Durham became the first team to win a championship match against Sussex in the county since the final match of 2004, and Harmison added: "We hope this win sends shockwaves around the country.
"This is no mean achievement. Sussex didn't have their skipper Chris Adams playing because of injury, but we played the better cricket and thoroughly deserved to win.
"Things are going well for us and for me personally. I am going out to bowl thinking I can take five or six wickets in an innings, but it all comes down to a team effort and this was a game which we ended up winning quite convincingly."
