Raymond van Barneveld comes from behind to beat James Wade and explains his slow tactics that angered The Machine.

Raymond van Barneveld was angered by James Wade's failure to shake his hand after he was defeated by the Dutchman at the Grand Slam.

Wade appeared on course for the quarter-finals when he opened up a three-leg lead, but Barney applied the brakes by slowing the pace of his throw.

This tactic clearly irritated Wade, nicknamed 'The Machine' who highlighted his frustration by tapping his watch, and he failed to pick up another leg while slumping to a 10-7 defeat.

After Van Barneveld's winning dart, Wade quickly disappeared off stage without offering a customary handshake, and 'Barney' angrily criticised his opponent's conduct in the post-match interview.

Wade has since expressed his regret on social media, writing: "Not like me to be unprofessional, I should have shook Ray's hand I admit that. I just let things get in my head!"
