BDO World Darts Championship: Darryl Fitton and Tony O'Shea both lose

Seventh seed Darryl Fitton and Tony O'Shea both made shock exits from the BDO World Darts Championship on the opening day at Lakeside.
Fitton, a two-time semi-finalist, was dragged into a deciding set by Dennis Harbour and eventually lost 3-2 to the Peterborough man.
The 53-year-old, who reached last year's quarter-finals, fired in a 114 finish while opening a 2-1 lead, but was edged out by Harbour when the final set went to sudden death.
O'Shea followed Fitton out of the competition as he slumped to a 3-0 defeat against Welshman Jim Williams.
'Silverback' has been a losing finalist on three occasions, but paid the price for a lacklustre performance.
Defending champion Scott Mitchell will kick-off his campaign against New Zealand's Craig Caldwell, who claimed a 3-1 win over Scotsman Alan Soutar in the preliminary round.
