Gerwyn Price claimed his maiden PDC title as he won Players Championship Seven on Sunday, while Devon Petersen hit a nine-dart finish at the Barnsley Metrodome.
Price defeated Peter 'Snakebite' Wright 6-3 in the final to claim the £10,000 prize money alongside his first ever professional title.
The former rugby player came from three legs down to reel off six in a row as he claimed victory.
Earlier, Price claimed victories against Dimitri Van den Bergh, Darren Webster and Daryl Gurney in the early rounds of Sunday's £75,000 tournament.
The Welshman then went on to record a string of impressive 6-2 victories as first Matt Clark and then Ricky Evans and Benito van de Pas were brushed aside.
Wright earned his spot in the final by edging out Peterson, who struck a nine-darter, in the last 16 then by beating Christian Kist and Dave Chisnall.
Price became the second player of the weekend to win their first ProTour title after Josh Payne's victory in Players Championship Six on Saturday, and the seventh different winner from as many Players Championships so far this year.
