Lewis Hamilton can claim his fourth world championship at Sunday's Mexican GP in Mexico City - and here's how.

Victory at the United States GP extended Hamilton's advantage over Sebastian Vettel to 66 points, but the German's second-place finish meant the title race was extended for a further week.

Valtteri Bottas is now mathematically out of contention while Vettel will need to outscore Hamilton by 17 points to take the title battle to Brazil.

Here's the maths for how the title can be decided on Sunday...

How Lewis Hamilton can win the Drivers' Championship

Hamilton needs to finish within 16 points of Vettel in Mexico City to take the 2017 title with two races to spare.
