Ajax have warned Hatem Trabelsi that he should make himself available.
Ajax have warned Hatem Trabelsi that he should make himself available for selection if he wants to move away from the club in January.The Tunisian full back has been at odds with the club since losing a court case over his contractual situation earlier in the year.
He seemed certain to move on in the summer but failed to find a club before the transfer window slammed shut.
Trabelsi repeatedly failed to show for crunch talks with Ajax officials, which prompted the Amsterdam giants to warn him about his future.
The rampaging full back has since spoken with Ajax director Arie van Eijden who has revealed that he expects the 27-year-old to report back for training in the near future.
"I think that we will see him back playing with us in the next few weeks," van Eijden told Studio Sport. "I am basing this on the conversation that we had recently."
Van Eijden does not expect Trabelsi to stay with the club for long and has warned him that he needs to prove his fitness to likely suitors.
"I think he realises that if he wants to leave, he must be playing games," added van Eijden.
